Organisers booked unusual August date for 41. Rally Košice this year. However not only the date, but whole background of the competition will be new.
The organizers from the Auto Klub Košice with his co-organizer Laroco Motorsport Egyesület prepared challenging rally with two legs for this year. Since the traditional September timeline of this event is occupied by International Six Day motorcycle competition, Rally Košice had to move to another date, as accessible, which became the second weekend in August 2015 from 14th till 16th. Rally Košice will count (similarly as last year) for the FIA Championship of Central Europe Zone, Slovak Rally Championship, Hungarian Rally Championship, Slovak Historic Rally Championship, Hungarian Rallye2 Championship and Slovak Rally Cup.
After a six-year break, the center of the competition again, "moves in" to the area of the company Tempus on Rastislavova street in Košice where will be located Rally Headquarters and Parc fermé. There will be registration for reconnaisance on Thursday and administrative checks and scrutineering during Friday anf for Rallye2 participants during Saturday. It was very difficult to find a new space for the service park that had to be moved from Malinovského barracks to parking place before Cassosport hall (Pri prachárni street).
The total length of the competition is 538.60 km, of which 139.70 km consists 11 special stages. Seven Special Stages on the three rutes will wait for crews competing in major championships on Saturday and four Special Stages on two tracks on Sunday. Four special stages on two routes are prepared for Slovak Rally Cup during Saturday and two for Sunday. The final version of the timetable and all connecting sections will be published on August 3, once it is clear which way they will be able to go, so that traffic in Košice at the current reconstruction of the tram tracks will not be even more reduced.
The competition will start on Thursday by the registration for reconnaissance and will continue by Friday's administrative and Technical scrutineering. Ceremonial start is scheduled for Friday evening 19.00. The first vehicle will start to track of the first stage on Saturday at 11:30 am. and arrive in a parc ferme around 20:35 in the evening. The second stage will begin on Sunday morning at 8:00 am. The announcement of results will take place from 15:40 hrs. Again on the finish podium.
All important information are disclosed in the supplementary regulations, which are on the official website of the organizer www.rallye.sk . On the www.prihlaska-sams.sk is running registration to competition. The deadline is set to 03.08.2015.
