43. Košice Rally with two-stage competition also for the rally cup

 Like last year, current rally season will end the two-stage Rally Košice. The competition will be two-stage not only for the crews of the Slovak Championship, but also for the Slovak rally cup.

 

The Slovak rally cup is called Rally2. The prescribed Special Stages lenght is 25-40 kilometers for one stage, which makes it about 50% of the total length of the Slovak Championship. Before last season, there was a change in the regulation, which allowed two-stage competition to pass one complete stage of SRP in 50-80 km of special stages. In that case, each crew's point gain is doubled. It was this regulation that was used by the organizers of the 43rd Rally Košice to allow the rally cup to complete the second round of competition.

 

The Košice Rally will be held on 19-22. October 2017. For the crews of the Slovak rally cup, the Sunday stage is ready with six special stages SS 1.4 Skáros, SS 2.5 Israel and SS 3.6 Regeta. The total length of the track is 225.2 kilometers of which 69.5 kilometers of special stages. The program for these crews will start on Saturday morning with administrative check and scruitineeringand and will continue with a track observations. The first special stage starts on Sunday after nine o'clock in the morning.

 

Zatiaľ jedinou posádkou, ktorá už má isté víťazstvo a to v rámci triedy RP3, je dvojica Tomáš Polovka - Daniel Turcsányi.

 

 

As there are minimal differences between the points of crews, the Rally Košice will decide which one will be the fastest this year. Chances have three crews: Roland Pecuch with Victoria Dudasova on Lada 2107 (130b), Tomas Polovka with Daniel Turcsányi at Seat Ibiza (122b) and Igor Plichta with Michal Svat at Citroën Saxo (116b). Each of these crews received at least one victory this year. Introductory L Racing. 10. The Roznava Rally won Polovka, at the Rally of Prešov was the most successful Plichta and Rally Tatry, Rally Lubeník and Rally Trebišov won Pecúch. We will see which one of them will most certainly sit the final competition in Košice. The winner is not yet even in the RP1 and RP2 classes. Meanwhile, the only crew that already has some victory in the RP3 class is the pair Tomáš Polovka - Daniel Turcsányi.
