After the morning shakedown, which was attended by several competitors, the 47. Rally Košice 2021 started in a row at 13:00 on 16.11.2021.
A total of eightythree competition crews from five European countries took part in the start of the competition, fighting in the series of FIA CEZ rally championships, FIA CEZ historic cars, as well as in the Slovak and Polish championships, as well as the Slovak rally cup and the Slovak regularity rally trophy.
Before the start of the competition itself, the selected crews also completed a shakedown, in which the Polish crew Marczyk - Gospodarczik, driving a Škoda Fabia Rally2 in the time of 1: 23.7 minutes, completed the set stage the fastest. The second fastest time on the shakedown was achieved by another Polish crew driving the same vehicle Chuchala - Rozwadovski, in a time of 1: 25.5 minutes. The Kasperczyk-Syty crew on the Volkswagen Polo GTI was 4 tenths slower. The fastest home crew at the shakedown was the Slovak-Czech pair Jaroslav Melichárek - Martin Tureček driving a Škoda Fabia Rally2, while the time of 1: 26.6 minutes put her in fourth place.
During today's Leg 1 of the 47. Rally Košice 2021, the competitors with a total length of almost three hundred kilometers await the competitors, of which almost sixty-three will be measured. These are divided into four separate special stages. We will find out the name of the winners of today's Leg 1 in the evening.
