The 6th Slovak Rally Championship competition kicks off in the center of Eastern Slovakia in six weeks. The 44th Rally Košice will also decide on Slovak champions in absolute clasification and in individual classes.
Two competition stages, 13 special stages, return to the track around the Jahodná and Ružin, festive start in the center of Košice and the name of the new absolute champion of Slovakia. All this and much more will be at the 44th Rally Košice. To be held in autumn 19-20 October 2018.
The competition is included in the FIA Central European Zone Championship and FIA Central European Zone Historic Championship, the Slovak Rally and Historic Vehicles Championship, the Slovak Rally Cup and the Rally Legend. The total length of the track is 390.95 km, of which 138.4 km consists of 13 special stages. They are divided into two stages in a 7: 6 ratio. The Slovak rally cup have only one competitive stage ahead ,165.3 km long race on Sunday. Four special stages, a total of 35.8 km.
The competition will be launched on Thursday by crew registration with optional administrative check and sightseeing. Friday is mainly scheduled for sightseeing. Administrative and technical checks are scheduled for Saturday morning along with a test special stage. The start of the competition itself will take place from 14:00 on Hlavná Street in Košice, from where they will gradually move to the start of the first stage SS Jahodná, which is 23.45 km long and also the longest of the whole schedule of the competition. Upon completion of seven SSs, the vehicles will be placed in a parc ferme, from where they will start on Sunday morning after 8:00. Finish of the rally with the prize giving is planned for 14:00.
Let's look at other important facts. The headquarters of the competition will be placed, as in the previous year, on the premises of the STK in Pri Prachárni 20, where will also be a service park. Shakedown, respectively the test SS will take place on Saturday between 8-11:00 in the Opatka and its length is 2.2 km. We recommend that the crew thoroughly plan the timetable and limitations on the sightseeing to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
