Routes of the 41st Rally Košice are unveiled

41st edition of the Rally Košice is allready here, held from 14th to 16th August 2015. Organizers have published a timetable for the competition, the first Bulletin and the description of the special stages.

11 special stages with the total lenght 139, 7 km are waiting for competing crews

SS 1, 6 : Jahodná - 13.75 km and SS 3 : Bankov - 5 km
Jahodná SS starts behind the bridge at Čermel and continues to the hotel Bankov. After 2.4 kilometers from the start line turns over the traditional speed bump on the narrow forest purpose road. Followed by a series of sequential bends of varying difficulty, and the path will lead to the national road II / 547. Outfall preceded demanding technical stage, where is located "STOP" of RS Bankov.
Crews will continue towards Jahodna at wide multi-lane road that after about 2.70 km passes to narow road with lots of corners. At turn to Leisure facilities at Jahodná will be speed bump using the wide area intersection following by a quick section finished with a swift right turn and a speed bump. RS Finish is at intersection to the hotel Dam.
Audience points:
- Turning on purpose road above the hotel Bankov
- Challenging descent from a purpose road to the main road, accessible on foot from ALPINKA
- Speed bump at the intersection of Jahodna

SS 2, 4 Ružín 8,8 km
SS Ružín right after the start passes parking outside the hotel Sivec, which uses narrow roads. After returning to the main road continues to Ružín, before the bridge turn to the forest private road around the dam Ružín. Track is technically very demanding, recalling the route to the legendary Rally Monte Carlo. After about 7 km , at the dam wall track passes to a wider, where are 1.5 kilometers before the finish two natural retarders.

SS 5, 7 Svinka 7,65 km
SS Svinka starts in the village Ľubovec in the direction to the village Obišovce. After 0.95 km entering the village Ruske Pekľany. At 1.2 km bypassing the bus stop and leaves the village. Route continues alongside the river Svinka by narrow passage. After crossing the bridge is raid on the horizon, and after 300 m is the second horizon, followed by the SS Finish.

SS 8, 10 Opiná 24,35 km
Start SS Opiná is located on the end of the village Opiná. SS continues on the narrow road uphill by series of rod bends and small horizons. Above the village Tuhrina to 4.20 km from the start turn right sharply and a series of difficult corners heading to the village of Lucina, before which is stretched a right turn with a good view for spectators on the opposite slope. There is a speed bump at the bus stop. Fast passages in the downhill and then uphill track lead to village of Červenica. At the municipal office is a sharp left turn uphill. Behind the village Červenica track continues uphil esses till turn to the opal mine where is the safety point. Track on 15.85 kilometers from the start sharply turns right onto private roads.

On the 17.10 kilometer is a natural chute on the way to the transmitter Dubnik and after 700 m track begins to fall in a busy section of the narrow rugged utility roads with lots of curves of varying difficulty. Finish is to turn to the shooting range above the village Zamutov.

- Challenging downhill to the village Červenica, crossing agricultural complex

- A sharp left turn in the village

- A sharp right turn onto utility roads - 15.85 km

SS 9, 11 Banské 12,95 km

SS Herľany-Banske or vice versa is one of the most famous special stages of Kosice rally. Its track starts at the exit of the village Banske. Demanding series of corners in a constant climb leads up to 5.2 km, where the track begins to fall again by a series of difficult corners. At 7.75 km is technically difficult crossing a narrow bridge, preceded by a sharp left turn. On 10.00 km is a speed bump. Just before entering the village Herľany is demanding right and then left turn. Track continues running through the delta Herľany before the village from the direction of Kosice and continues through speed bump on parking at the geyser, which is interesting spectator place. Finish is behind the horizon before the village Rankovce.
