Preparations for the start of the 47. Rally Košice continue

Although the situation with the coronavirus is not developing the best, the organizers of the 47. Rally Košice are still working on the preparation of their competition. There are only 3 weeks left until the start.

As last year at this autumn time, the pandemic situation around the world is deteriorating slightly this year. These reports do not please anyone and not competitors and organizers at all, who have been enthusiastically preparing their planned competitions for almost a year. These include Rally Košice, which in recent seasons closes the Slovak Rally Championship and often decides not only on domestic champions, but also on the winners of the FIA Central European Zone or the Polish Championship.

The Auto klub Košice is gradually finishing the preparations for the competition until the end of September. The special stages routes, the rally premises in the area of the new Košice Football Arena and the premises for technical scrutineering in the Moris Slovakia company are confirmed. The time schedule, which had to be slightly changed at the last minute, is being fine-tuned, along with the safety plan and itineraries. Of course, we will soon bring these changes in the form of Bulletin and a press release. The Sportity application is also functional, which we recommend installing due to the up-to-dateness of published documents (Rally Košice - password: RALLYKOSICE2021).

However, one "thing" that is still missing and that is less and less every year is people. The people who run the special stages are known as the marshals, in a word, the volunteers. Therefore, we would like to invite those of you who like cars and speed and would like to become part of the organizational team to express their interest and contact us. The condition is a minimum age of 18 years. We will be happy to explain further details in person or by telephone.

The people we would like to challenge are also the drivers themselves, who are registering very slowly so far. We would therefore like to urge the competition crews not to leave their entries at the last minute, even though the deadline for applications with a reduced deposit is set for 1 October.

There is nothing left but to keep your fingers crossed and believe that the competition will be able to take place and that its pandemic measures will not be extremely affected.
