Despite the fact that the Izra special stage has been used at the Rally Košice for more than thirty years, the administrators of this route changed their mind at the last minute and did not give their permission to use the road for this year.
Although the situation with the coronavirus is not developing the best, the organizers of the 47. Rally Košice are still working on the preparation of their competition. There are only 3 weeks left until the start.
Supplementary regulations are the most important and anticipated document at every event. The ones for the 47th Rally Košice have been published and bring a lot of important information.
After a one-year break caused by restrictions due to coronavirus, the 47th Rally Košice will take place in mid-October. The competition is prepared by its traditional organizer Auto klub Košice in cooperation with Automobilklub Rzeszowski.
47. Rally Košice will be held 14. - 17. 10.2021 in co-operation with Automobilklub Rzeszow and with the support of the town Košice and the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.
At the jubilee 50th year of our Autoclub existence, for the first time in its history we must announce that the competition which we have been working on for six months and is well prepared, must be canceled. We are canceling the competition which was to be included in the Polish Championships again after a multi-year break, for which we have been trying to do for a long time, a competition that has the great support of the city of Košice and SAMŠ.
The reasons for our difficult decision are on two levels:
Three weeks before the start of the 46th Rally Košice, the organizers are still working hard on its preparation. They already have most of the permits in their hands and are still catching up with the necessary number of people or printed materials.
The 50th anniversary of the Auto Klub Košice existence will be celebrated by its representatives at the domestic 46. Rally Košice competition. It will take place on 15.-18. October 2020 as the last competition of the Slovak and Polish rally championships and will traditionally be included in the FIA Central European Zone Championship.
The 46th Rally Košice will take place on 15 - 18th October 2020.
It will be a two-stage competition with the total length of the special stages up to 150 km.

45. ročník Rally Košice je za nami a spoločne s ním aj sezóna Majstrovstiev Slovenska v rally. Víťazstvo na poslednej súťaži šampionátu získali Martin Koči s Radovanom Moznerom, čím si zabezpečili aj titul majstrov Slovenska pre rok 2019.
Päť rýchlostných skúšok priniesla prvá etapa 45. Rally Košice. V krásnom jesennom počasí sa na štart postavilo 51 súťažných posádok, z ktorých 37 malo absolvovať celú dĺžku trate v rámci Majstrovstiev Slovenska a 14 skrátenú trať v rámci Slovenského rally pohára. Súboj o titul majstra zostal naďalej otvorený.
Dve rôzne rýchlostné skúšky majú za sebou súťažné posádky Majstrovstiev Slovenska na 45. Rally Košice. Ako všetci čakali, tak najväčší súboj sa odohráva medzi dvojicou Grzyb a Koči, z ktorých sa jeden už čoskoro stane majstrom Slovenska.
Servisné parkovisko v areáli Rekreačného strediska Jahodná pri Košiciach sa dnes začalo plniť súťažnými vozidlami. Na pláne však tentokrát nie sú preteky do vrchu, ale automobilová rally.
Auto klub Košice má za sebou už 44 rokov organizácie rally v meste, v ktorom má táto motoristická disciplína najstaršie korene na Slovensku. Jej prvý ročník známy pod názvom Rallye VSŽ usporiadal automotoklub, vtedy s názvom AMK VSŽ, v roku 1971. V tom čase sa už v Košiciach jazdila známejšia Rally Košice, ktorú vtedy organizovala AMK Stavba Košice.
